## Founding Story
It all started with a simple question: Why do students struggle with academic subjects despite having an abundance of learning resources?

We are two engineers specializing in materials and mechanical engineering, respectively. Over the past ten years, we have tutored students in our spare time, sharing our knowledge and learning experiences in math, physics, and other STEM subjects. At first, we simply focused on relaying the knowledge. As time went by, we noticed students often get overwhelmed by all sorts of information, struggling to establish an effective learning plan, and lack the confidence to solve problems on their own.

As engineers, we are accustomed to approaching challenges from multiple angles, breaking down complex problems into simpler parts, and looking for the most effective way to solve them. When it comes to the present educational system, we discovered a significant gap — one that limits students from learning effectively, no matter how hard they try. We realized the key to effective learning is not only the content written in printed books, but how it is taught.

Instead of simply showing students how to solve a problem, we explain the reasoning behind each step and show them how to think critically, just like an engineer. We not only teach students what to learn, but how to learn.

Engineering is a way of thinking — breaking down complex problems and finding the most effective solutions. We firmly believe this problem-solving mindset, refined through years of industry experience, can help students unlock success in any subject. We took this idea to the next level, combining engineering mindsets with our teaching philosophy to design a systematic learning method — and ultimately, a brand-new tutoring school.

一切源於一個簡單的問題：為什麼學生在面對學科時，儘管有豐富的學習資源，依然感到吃力？

我們是有著多年經驗的工程師——分別從事材料工程和機械工程。過去十年裡，我們在業餘時間輔導學生，分享我們在數學、物理等理工科目的學習經驗。起初，我們只是傳授知識，但隨著接觸的學生越來越多，我們發現了一個共性：學生們常常被資訊淹沒，不知道如何合理規劃學習，缺乏自信來獨立解決問題。

作為工程師，我們習慣從各個角度解決問題，把複雜的難題拆解成簡單的部分，然後找到最有效的解決方案。然而，當我們審視傳統的教育體系時，我們發現了一個巨大的空白——這正是限制學生有效學習的關鍵因素，無論他們多麼努力。我們意識到，有效學習的關鍵並不單純在於課本上的知識，而是在於我們教學的方式。

我們不只是簡單地告訴學生如何解題，而是解釋了每一步背後的思路，以及如何用工程師的方式去思考問題。我們不僅是教授學生「學什麼」，更是教他們「怎麼學」，就像工程師一樣。

## Teaching Methodology
Providing the foundational tools needed for future academic success, we offer a structured and methodical curriculum focused on problem-solving skills. We track each individual's progression, identify weak spots, and customize a personalized learning path for each student. We reject the "one-size-fits-all" teaching approach and instead focus on helping every student learn how to fundamentally understand and solve problems.

We equip each student with the right tools, offering more focused, short-term support for independent growth. As their confidence and ability grow, the level of difficulty is subsequently increased to hone their learning ability.

### Key Methods
- We teach effective note-taking skills, using notes as visual aids to reinforce learning. Through repetitive exposure and various levels of practice, we help students achieve their learning goals.
- Our curriculum is constructed in a way that trains students to organize and review their own notes. In addition, we expose them to a myriad of problem sets, familiarizing them with different exam patterns.
- We encourage students to plan their learning in advance, guiding them to identify areas for improvement through past learning experiences.

### Anthony Tsai
During his time as a visiting scholar at the Materials Engineering Department in the United States, Anthony developed an interest in the international education system. Starting in 2014, he has tutored students preparing to study abroad, accumulating over ten years of teaching experience. With a rich and diverse teaching background, he custom-designs a study plan for each individual student. By leveraging his training in engineering, he guides students toward excellent academic results. He is skilled at combining academic knowledge with practical application, helping students not only master the fundamentals, but understand the real-world significance of each subject.
